The Day Music Cried (saw it somewhere)
Michael Jackson was one of the biggest entertainers. A man surrounded by scandalous that occult all the good things he did for people in need. As he said in one of his interviews people do not talk about the good things, they only focus in the bad things that happened in his time. His music is very different from other artists. His songs focus in a specific situation that people go through and can relate. Even though he was a very famous man not much is known about his personal life. All you see is how much he talks about the love for his kids and fans, but there is not really a moment where he says something about himself. This man impact the life of some many out there. These people felt so close to him even when they have never seen him.
But on June 25 a new strike the entire world. This new was so shocking for everybody because everyone was preparing for the come back of Michael Jackson. Everyone was counting the days to see their idol, but death had a big surprise for everybody. However, there is a lot of commotion about his dead personally, I think that there is something fishing going on. How could this man that had a check up exam and was even practicing for the tour in perfect conditions could die. Yet there is the idea of the overdoses of drugs. Yesterday we were able to say goodbye and see the tribute that his family and friends did for him. I do not know about but the most shocking and heartbreaking part was seeing his daughter Paris talking about how much he loved his dad. These are some of my thoughts about Michael Jackson. Opinions????
*How easy/difficult was your experience working with Blogger? Did you feel frustrated at any point with the technology or the kinds of knowledge you had to have to blog the way you wanted to? What was interesting or fun about working with Blogger?
I had a few problems using blogger at the beginning. It was kind of hard setting up the layout of the blog. But, later on with your explanations in class of the things that we could do in blogger, it became much easier. I learned how to insert pictures and I stared changing them for each different blog we had. I actually liked because I was designing the page of my thoughts.
*Was writing the entry relatively painless or kind of a pain in the neck? Why or why not? Was it hard to write at least 250 words?
I did not have problems writing 250 words for each blog. Most of the blogs entries were really interesting and kept me writing on and on. However, there were some blogs that just became an assignment and the answers were narrow and specific. For instance, the time we had to look at other blogs and write about their structure. I honestly kind of repeated the same thing for each blog.
*Was it easy/difficult to meet the deadline for the entry and the comments? Why or why not? Do you think there may be a better way to set up a deadline? (If so, what is it?) Should there be a deadline at all?
Yes, I had some problems meeting the deadline for the entry and specially for the comments; mostly, because my work came between. I didn’t have a lot of time to write some blogs. In additions, I was really frustrating to stay up late waiting or coming back the next day and wait again for others to do there blogs, so I could comment. Yes, I think there should be a deadline otherwise they are not going to do the blogs. However, I think the comments should be a big part of the grade.
*Discuss your experience interacting with other class blogs. Did you learn anything in special that you think you wouldn't have if we didn't have blogs? In general, were comments useful or just kind of pro forma?
I did have a lot fun and learn different things reading others class blogs. In some cases it helped me with some of the blogs I had problems writing. The comments that I received made me aware of the things that I was writing beyond my conscious and the things I was missing.
*Compare blogging to other kinds of writing you have done in previous courses.
I did enjoy writing these blogs. For me it was the same but at the same time it was different from the writing I had to do for my other courses; perhaps, because most of the blogs were about my opinions and knowledge of the environment.
*Do you think you would like to keep on blogging on your own?
I am not really sure that I am going to keep on blogging on my own. I guess because now it is not something that I am required to do. But, if I find something interesting and have the time I will try to share it with others.
